The Gordon's meet Harrison

I thought I would take a picture from Harrison's blog so I could blog about him. Brad and Linda welcomed Harrison Michael Stephens on January 24th. He is a cutie. We went to visit him a few days after they got home. Brodie and I could not get over how little he was. It is hard to remember Annabel being that little but she was.

Ben Pinter's First Birthday Party

This past Sunday was Ben Pinter's first birthday party. Ben was such a good little boy and seemed to have a good time. I think he especially liked having is own little birthday cake. Annabel seemed happy to get to go to his house and play with all of his fun toys. She was the only little girl at the party so I think that makes her his girlfriend or as Brodie would say "lady friend". They have to be best buds since they get to play together everyday. It has been fun seeing them both grow and develop at their own speed this past year.

Another Sledding Event

Brunch with Amy and Lily

Last Friday morning we had brunch with Amy and Lily at Honey in Glen Ellyn. Lily is adorable. Every time someone walked past her in the restaurant she would look at them, smile and say "hi". The girls shared some yummy chocolate chip pancakes and Amy and I had the EGGS ON A MOTORCYCLE. "A thick slice of artisanal bread baked with two eggs inside, seating over a pool of roasted garlic and rosemary cream sauce and garnished with fresh rosemary, served with house potatoes." So good!

Blackhawks Game 2/14/2009

Brodie and I had a night out together on Valentines Day. First we had dinner as a family at our new favorite place in Lincoln Square, Chelsea Grill. Then we left Annabel will Wanda at our house and we went to see my first Blackhawk's game. It was very fun. The crowd really gets into the games. The Blackhawks played the Stars and beat them 6 to 2. After the game we stopped by an old favorite spot of Brodie's, The Charleston.

Brodie's Birthday 2/17/2009

On Tuesday, February 17th 2009 Brodie turned 34. We went to the Chicago Brauhaus as a family and had dinner. This is one of Brodie's favorite spots. Very old school on the inside. Tuesday night we stayed in and played with Annabel and ate the cake I made for Brodie, a red velvet cake. Yummy!

"Bitter is the New Black"

I am currently reading "Bitter is the New Black" by Jen Lancaster. It is pretty darn funny! About a month ago I hosted the monthly Pi Phi meeting at our home and Jen was the guest speaker. She was a Pi Phi at Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne. I honestly had not heard of her. I have kind of been wrapped up in being pregnant, diapers and baby books I guess. I thought it was so cool to have a New York Times Best Selling author come for the meeting. She was really fun and down to earth. It was pretty cool to hear her story of becoming an author. I think total now she has three or four books out and two on the way. I love the covers of her books. I plan to read them all.

Bumps and Baths

Annabel seems to fall frequently. I welcome anyone's advice on how to prevent this from happening while she is trying to learn how to perfect walking. Her current bruise looks awful and I feel terrible but I had to post the picture. Also we can do really cool things with all of her hair. She is getting a pretty thick 'do. And look at those big girl teeth.
